Directions To Riker's Island
Bus: In Queens, you can get Q101R at Bridge Plaza South (Queens Plaza) and 28 Street in Long Island City, which will get you to the Riker's Island Visit Center. In Manhattan, you can find Q101 at East 59th Street and Second Avenue. You will need to transfer at the entrance to the Riker's Island to the Q101R bus in order to cross the bridge to the Riker's Island Visit Center.
Train: No train goes to Riker's Island.
Car: Take the Grand Central Parkway going East. Exit at Astoria Blvd. bear left and go straight on 23rd Avenue to 82nd Street. Left on 82nd Street to 81st Street. Right on 81st Street. The name changes to 19th Avenue. Go to the first traffic light and turn right onto Hazen Street. Leave your car in the parking lot and take the Q101R bus to get to the Riker's Island Visit center.
